Peer Review Process
Overview
Peer review is the method used to evaluate the quality of a manuscript earlier than it is published online. It plays a vital role in academic publishing by the desirable quality of which a manuscript is checked, revised, and edited for publication, proceeding on this track with the guidelines and rules of COPE.
However, there are different types of peer review processes, Acquire is following the double-blind peer-review process which does not reveal the identity of both the author and the reviewer. As the journal adopts a double-blind review process which is closely examined by the editors and editorial team. Editors undertake an editorial review to evaluate the quality and type of manuscript prior to processing it to the review process. Manuscripts that do not meet the required criteria or the scientific standards will not be considered for the review process.
We publish only high-quality articles in the relevant journals. Therefore, validating the manuscript prior to publication online keeping it in front of the readers is essential. This is the major rationale why the ‘Peer review process’ plays such a noteworthy task. It is done to enhance the quality and to publish the most excellent.
Steps in the Peer Review Process
Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts along with required materials, including a copyright form and cover letter.
Initial Screening: The Editorial Managing Team performs a preliminary quality check, assessing for issues like plagiarism, duplicity, and legal hazards. Manuscripts failing this stage are promptly rejected, and authors are notified.
Assignment: Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to an editor or a team of reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.
Review: Assigned reviewers critically analyze the manuscript, providing comments and recommendations. They may suggest acceptance, request major or minor revisions, or reject the manuscript, with detailed reasons for their decisions.
Decision: The editor reviews the comments from the reviewers and makes a final decision. This decision, along with the reviewers' comments, is communicated to the author.
Revision: Authors have 14 days to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewer's comments and resubmit for further evaluation.
Final Review and Publication: Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes final proofreading by the editorial team before being published online.
